Math is Beautiful
Math is everywhere we look. We are governed by laws, laws we didn’t just make up, laws provable through the absolute finality of math, its indisputable truth.. One plus one is indisputably 2. You can pick up a thing, then pick up another thing. You can count them and it is incontrovertibly two. Obvious to the most casual observer.
Have you seen a pinecone, or a flower? the arrangement of the petals are arranged with mathematical symmetry. Even the sphere of a drip and the crown shape formed after it falls are described by math, formulas, laws.
There is tremendous comfort and elegance in the laws of mathematics which keep us from floating off the surface of the earth and into the vacuum of outer space. The laws which keep all the water in one closed system. We never have to worry because the laws of mathematics are working whether we are paying attention or not. There are no cops or judges for the laws of mathematics. for they cannot be broken. It is nice to know that what goes up will always come down (unless they reach escape velocity — another formula, a law.)
When you look at it that way, math is beautiful!
